22 February 2014

hello,
Firstly I know that I have been changing my blog header lots and lots.
That's because I have been trying to make it circle.
But the problem with having it circle is that it is very hard to get it in the middle.
So I decided I wouldn't do a circle.
Today I made one and I love it lots!
I think I will keep it there for a while.

Also,
The other day one of my friends asked me..
"Why is your blog called All About Edie?"
and this is why..

When I created my blog, all the names I wanted were taken!
Later that day I was sitting in the car.
Me and mum were talking about the brand All About Eve that was when I thought..
MY BLOG SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT EDIE! (because my name is Edie)

and If you don't know me. My name is NOT pronounced EDDIE!
It is eee-dieee!
It is quite an uncommon name but there are some pretty cool people with that name!

That is a photo of Edie Campbell, who has modelled for VOGUE and some other big magazines!

and Edie Sedgwick who was an American heiress, socialite, actress, and fashion model in the 60's!

Well, I think that is all. Thanks for reading!
Bye!
Love, Edie

Or just make collections of cool outfits!

You can find just about anything on this planet! There are clothes, shoes, furniture, decor, stationary, and many more!

You can add in photos, magazine articles, overlays, and borders to make it look extra pretty!

I love Polyvore,

School Book Cover Ideas

Hello, where I live, in New Zealand,
I have already been back at school for a few weeks.
But thats no reason not to cover my books a bit late!
This year I wanted to do something a bit different.
Rather than just covering them in photos, I have come up with 4 creative ideas
to cover my books!
Here they are!

1: Finger Painting-  First cover your book
entirely in white paper, using a glue stick. Make sure you glue
your book all over otherwise you might get some air bubbles.
Then, simply start finger painting!
I stuck a photo of Katy Perry ontop of my spotted paper.

2: Brown Paper- Using brown paper cover your entire book.
Just like you did with the white paper.
This is so easy and I think it looks effective too!
If you want you can do a little collage on that like I did.
A little sticker finishes it off nicely too.

3: Collage- Yes, lots of people do collages. But, this one
has a theme.
Cover the book in white paper first!
I chose the theme 'Fashion' so I cut out lots of pictures from
magazines and brochures.

4: Designer Paper ( With Spine)- to make this design,
cover your book with a patterned paper that you like.
I got my paper from Typo!
Measure a strip of black paper, about 4cm wide, and as long as
your book. Fold it around the 'spine' of your book.
This means you will have 2cm's of black on each side.
Glue that on. Cut a little rectangle out of the same black paper
and stick it in the middle of your book. I wrote 'Science' on mine. as this is
my science book.

I hope you got some inspiration from my ideas or even try making
a few. Comment your favourite one!
XOXO,
Edie

January Faves

Hello,
Long time no post!
Guess what?
Its already February!
January was a great month for me,
Full of parties, sea swims, birthdays, organizing things and getting back to school.
Here are a few of my favourite things in January.

1: Neons- Bright colours make me so happy!
2: These pegs!- I think I will use these to hang little things
above my desk. These ones are from Typo.
3: Paper straws- I think these are so cute!
I love the chevron patterned ones

4: Milk bottle jars- Vintage, and they look great
with the paper straws in them. Such cute patterns!
5: Amy Borrell- What wonderful paintings she has!
So talented. I love her watercolours.

That's All!
There are many more things I have been loving this month.
But those are my top 5.
Aren't they fantastic!?
I think so!!

XOXO,
          Edie
