Hello, where I live, in New Zealand,
I have already been back at school for a few weeks.
But thats no reason not to cover my books a bit late!
This year I wanted to do something a bit different.
Rather than just covering them in photos, I have come up with 4 creative ideas
to cover my books!
Here they are!
1: Finger Painting- First cover your book
entirely in white paper, using a glue stick. Make sure you glue
your book all over otherwise you might get some air bubbles.
Then, simply start finger painting!
I stuck a photo of Katy Perry ontop of my spotted paper.
2: Brown Paper- Using brown paper cover your entire book.
Just like you did with the white paper.
This is so easy and I think it looks effective too!
If you want you can do a little collage on that like I did.
A little sticker finishes it off nicely too.
3: Collage- Yes, lots of people do collages. But, this one
has a theme.
Cover the book in white paper first!
I chose the theme 'Fashion' so I cut out lots of pictures from
magazines and brochures.
4: Designer Paper ( With Spine)- to make this design,
cover your book with a patterned paper that you like.
I got my paper from Typo!
Measure a strip of black paper, about 4cm wide, and as long as
your book. Fold it around the 'spine' of your book.
This means you will have 2cm's of black on each side.
Glue that on. Cut a little rectangle out of the same black paper
and stick it in the middle of your book. I wrote 'Science' on mine. as this is
my science book.
I hope you got some inspiration from my ideas or even try making
a few. Comment your favourite one!
XOXO,
Edie
Some great ideas here Edie and I like that it doesn't cost a lot! Nana Pat x
